Why Trade-In Your Car at the Dealership

auto dealership trade in tips

A dealership trade-in is usually the most convenient way to buy a new automobile. You might try selling your car yourself, however, if you’re looking for something quick and simple bringing it to us is your best alternative. Even if you are trading in a car, truck, or SUV with issues we can work with you to get you the very best deal.

Dealership Trade-In Deals – Fact or Fiction?

Yes, there certainly are such things as dealership trade-in deals. A dealership trade-in deal is one where the dealer gets your car, truck, or SUV when you purchase one of ours. For one reason or another, some models are more in demand than others. Perhaps it’s a weird interior color, doesn’t have the technology buyers desire, or maybe an updated version just came out, regardless of the reasons it’s far better to sell the car, truck, or SUV and bring in something more likely to sell. If you’re looking for a trade-in deal, your best choice is to look into the new versions from the previous year. The new models are beginning to roll in and we need to make room for them. So, if you don’t need to have the most upgraded version of an automobile then we might be able to get you a trade-in deal.

Will Car Dealers Do An Even Trade?

We will absolutely do an even trade on your automobile. The thing to keep in mind when trying to find ‘even trades’ is that you might discover the retail value of your car and match it up with a car we’re offering, but we aren’t able to give retail price on a trade-in. Every trade-in will be required to be examined for possible issues and safety concerns. In most cases, there will be expenses related to seeing to it that the trade-in is ready to be sold in a safe condition. Additionally, if your automobile isn’t paid off you’ll want to make sure that the dealership will settle your trade-in balance on any kind of deal. All of those things cost money, so your best option is to identify the trade-in value, and browse our vehicles for something near that price. Keep in mind internet research can just give a quote on what your vehicle’s value is. An accurate value can only be given with an examination. We use an industry-standard vehicle appraisal system to figure out the value of your trade-in.

Should I Trade In My Vehicle or Sell It Myself?

The traditional wisdom is that you’ll get even more money if you sell your car outright and afterwards purchase an automobile from the car dealership. Nonetheless, that might not really hold true because in many states the sales tax obligation paid on an automobile acquisition is determined after your trade-in has been factored in. As an example, the vehicle you wish to buy is $30,000 and if you acquire it outright you pay tax obligations on the full $30,000. If we give you $15k for your trade-in, then you would be accountable for the tax obligation on the $15k remaining on the price. The taxes would be essentially be cut in half. So, while you may be able to get more money by selling it yourself, the lower taxes and ease of trading it here can offset all added dollars you would get.

What Can I Do To Get The Best Trade-In Value?

There are a couple of straightforward tricks to make certain you get the best trade-in value for your automobile. If you follow these straightforward ideas, it’ll help you get the best deal.

Clean Your Car

No one wants to purchase a gross vehicle. If your vehicle is full of garbage and is dirty, we’ll have to pay somebody to clean it. Tidy cars are less complicated to sell, make it simple for us to buy yours.

Show That You’ve Taken Care Of It

If you have service records then bring them along to highlight that you’ve cared for your ride. Unless your automobile still has a warranty, prospective customers will surely be worried about reliability. Having documents showing routine upkeep makes a vehicle much easier to sell.

Mr. Arpin at Porsche El Paso was very professional and courteous. He keep us informed about every step they were doing to our Macan and why it needed to be done. The car was checked for any maintenance needed. We had no idea that one of the front tires had a nail and Mr. Arpin immediately notified us about replacing the tire with a new one even though the tire has less 1000 miles; a new tire was installed. Thank you Porsche El Paso for having Mr. Arpin as a Service Consultant at this location; he is so polite and respectful.
